櫻桃現在除了深紅色者，還有淡色的，俗稱白櫻桃。深紅櫻桃是顏色越深越甜，白櫻桃就不是這樣囉；白櫻桃上面的顏色跟甜度無關，如果有些小暗斑點者表示日照更充足，甜份更高哩。
曾經在某個朋友家看過白櫻桃樹，一樣是開著單瓣的花，但是枝幹上有刺。雖然朋友跟我說那就是白櫻桃樹本尊，可是我一直找不到真正的說明哩，請教過 GOOGLE 大師，也沒有滿意的答案。如果有人知道相關訊息的話，請跟我說唷！
